Each Day We Have Another Chance
Each day we have another chance
to start again at dawn.
We're free to go with hope supreme
or look behind and mourn.
We can hold on to if's and why's
or what if's or if only's,
Or we can choose to look to Heaven
to the Holiest of Holy's.
We must repent what needs to be,
to ask forgiveness too.
To freely give the same away
is something we must do.
We're only human, God knows that,
too often harm or hurt,
but holding on to damage done,
keeps lives ground in the dirt.
It's not an easy thing sometimes,
to start again each day.
But if you look up to the Lord
All pain He'll take away.
